Company History
1934
February
Established Yamamoto Shokai with capital of JPY 500,000.
Obtained exclusive distributorship rights in Japan for German machine tools and began import and sales operations.
1941
September
Company name changed to Yamamoto Kogyo
Constructed a factory in Koganei City, Tokyo (current headquarters) and began manufacturing and sales of precision cutting tools.
1951
July
Company name changed to Koganei Manufacturing
Started manufacturing and sales of superfinishing machines.
1953
October
Began manufacturing centralized lubrication systems.
1957
December
Started manufacturing carbide deep-hole drilling (BTA) tools.
1961
August
Constructed the Komagane Factory in Komagane City, Nagano Prefecture.
1962
August
Entered into a technical partnership with Humphrey Products Company (USA) for air valve technology.
1964
April
Started manufacturing and sales of air valves.
1968
May
Began a business alliance with Howa Machinery Co., Ltd. for air cylinders.
